I AM BACK... -Axiom
Hello Tblog world! I'M BACK!
So... it's been like a whole year since I actually made a post on here...
Well I have good news! Taking a year off lets your mind refresh itself and become rejuvinated. The goal for our site is now for me and Revan to keep it alive through college, which we begin next year. I'm destined for Florida State University and Revan will unfortunately and disgustingly crawl on down to Florida University.... No worrys about the clash! That may be something thathelps keep the blog alive. I've got a whole new personality that I traded for recently, so things may be a bit different than they used to be. KEEP READING!
(if anyone is interested, I have one hell of a story to tell)
OK, things I'm planning on doing --possibly: some more "101" lists, interesting random information posts, social news/examples, advice, and whatever rolls through my opened up mind.
Enjoy the Show! It's gowing to be a great 4-and-a-half years, at LEAST.

Poem #4
Revanland
The thing's enclosed in a dome
And no one gets in
For a lack of trying
Yes
The door's unlocked to Revanland
Though it may have rusted shut
There's no toll
But no one can spare the change
No one to smell the flowers
That's all right
They have other uses; the flowers I mean
As for the would-be tourists
No
The light will shine
For it's own sake
And the heart that created it all
Refuses, it seems, to break
So step right up
Here-have a free map-you'll need it
Take in the lush foliage
But please, do not smoke
Ah, your purpose becomes clear
I see you came here
To steal the soap
Get out
And take your "literature" with you
Now all is calm in Revanland
The submarines frolic beneath the waves
The light shines on
Not for you, dear tourist, but for what lies
Within

The Oscars 2006
The Oscars are coming around again, so it is time once again to present my own awards, seeing as how the Oscars invariably suck. Sadly Axiom isn't here, but somehow I'll make due. Or is it dew?
Best Movie
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith- Nothing in 2006 bested ROTS for sheer emotional power, in what is a fitting end to the saga and truly a remarkable movie. Perhaps it seems a bit stupid to give Star Wars the award, but at least I'm not like all those people that are like,"George Lucas ruined my childhood memories with the new trilogy." Bravo, ROTS, bravo.
Best Actor
Ewan McGregor- Ian McDiarmind might've done a better job, making me hate his character, but McGregor starred in half the films I saw in 2006: ROTS, the Island and Stay, so he gets it.
Best Game
Metroid Prime- I am a little late coming to this, but Prime is a real masterpiece. Nothing beats the sense of discovery, the awe, and the overall atmosphere of this first-person adventure.
Best CD
The Music That Died Alone, by The Tangent- TMTDA opened up a whole new genre of music to me- progressive rock. A completely different style (than I'm used to), longer songs, and so very unconventional--this describes the Tangent's debut album.
Best Vocals
Nights in White Satin, from the album Days of Futures Passed, by the Moody Blues- I've been listening to the single version for years now and I just got DoFP. This version is even better, with a few more instrumental flourishes during the chorus.
Best Instrumental
Rumble Fish Twist, from the album Space Revolver, by the Flower Kings- It's nice to find another band that does instrumentals and does them well. RFT sounds exactly as you would imagine, at least for the first few of the eight minutes. The final half caught me off guard on my first listen, at once sad, relaxing, and uplifting.
Best Book
You Don't Know Me, by David Klass-YDKM is written in an amazing style; it's a wonder more stories aren't in the first person. YDKM is a few days in the life a boy John, a loner with an abusive stepfather. It is the without a doubt the best young adult novel I have ever read and quite possibly the best novel ever.
Best Blogger
Revan- Who came back after nearly a year? Not our friend Axiom. It was me. All me. I am amazing. Thank you, thank you.

This Could Be Going Somewhere
I'm back today, alive and rejuvenated, with no clue why. Hopefully this will continue for weeks, and is not just a fluke. I wonder if it is in spite of, or because ; I have greater challenges to face, specifically Calculus 2 night classes. It's odd how the volume of work assigned there makes regular high school seem easier and gives me the motivation to do everything faster than when I had so much less. Hopefully I'll have something more interesting to write both for myself and whoever reads this thing.

Have I Been Here Before?
Ahhh...it seems you can go back home again, relive the past, whatever. After all, here I am, after almost a year, posting. It seems Gatsby was wrong. I look back on all my previous posts. Such effort, such drive! That Revan didn't know what was in store for him, and I don't know now. Those times seem like a dream now, and if I didn't have pictures from back then, or the html staring me in the face, I would swear it isn't true. So many "tfriends" gone without a trace, never again to grace the top 100 list.
Ahh.. so weird to be doing this again. This was over wasn't it? Dead? But it isn't. Odd. My life seemed to peak over the summer, the highlight being--a girl. That "life" was cut off in a single day, and sank back into status quo. The silence returned, like it had never left.
And yet...
A new summer approaches. What's in store? Flying lessons? Probably. Shortly thereafter, college. But during the summer I will also go back, back to the place where I volunteered and met her. She should be there, and though I know there is no chance with her, it is still intriguing. It seems so surreal, as if I've been sleeping the last six months and am just now waking up.
This has been very therapeutic.
